Principal's
Message
We
are at the mid-point of the 2009-10 school year. Recently we completed
our universal screening for every student in grades K-2.
Students are assessed in letter naming fluency, initial sound fluency,
phoneme segmentation fluency and oral reading fluency. While these
assessments are quick one minute assessments the results give teachers
and staff important data to analyze when discussing student needs.
You are encouraged to contact your child’s teacher if you would
like information regarding these results.
Just a reminder that March
18th the Primary School Building Planning Team will sponsor the “All
About Me and My Family Night from
4:00-7:00. The Spring Book Fair
will also start on the night of the
18th and for all the sweet tooths we will have our Ice Cream Social
in the cafeteria with help from the School and Home Association.
Best wishes for an excellent second semester of school!
Sincerely,
Jeffrey Evoy
